Let's make the condominium EV drivers happy

The number of condominiums that want to know the possibility of charging electric vehicles in their parking lots is growing rapidly. They want to deploy a high-performance solution that meets all current and future charging needs.

What the co-ownerships need

▪The concept considers the implementation of a scalable base infrastructure.

▪The solution
meets current charging demands and is organized in anticipation of future installations.

▪The cost is equitably distributed among all condominium owners and new EV drivers.

▪The work is carried out in compliance with current regulations.

Examples of EV charging installations in several condominiums located in Greater Montreal

Examples of EV charging installations in several condominiums located in Greater Montreal

Multi-level indoor parking

▪Two underground parking levels, Hydro-Quebec meter room located in basement 1, 144 electricity meters, 72 parking spaces.

▪All metering centers are installed in the technical room located in basement 1, near the two levels of indoor parking.

▪The chosen solution proposes the connection of the charging stations to the customers' meters with charge controllers.

▪The existing electrical capacity of the main electrical service can accommodate the new charging loads.

▪Since the capacity of the transformers powering the metering centers cannot accept the new loads, a building power management system will be used.

▪Power supply and metering of the charging stations will be done by existing electrical distribution of the service provider.

▪The installation will use a cable tray in basement 1 and a distribution with electrical boxes and conduits attached to the ceiling in basement 2.

Multi-sector outdoor parking

▪Outdoor parking composed of three sectors, individual Hydro-Quebec meters located on exterior walls, 78 electricity meters, 60 parking spaces.

▪The chosen solution proposes the connection of the charging stations to the customers' meters with charge controllers.

▪Power supply and metering of the charging stations will be done by existing electrical distribution of the service provider.

▪The installation proposes the use of buried pull boxes and underground conduits to connect future pole-mounted charging stations to the power supply.

Outdoor parking under balconies

▪Outdoor parking located under the balconies of the condominium, 7 Hydro-Quebec metering rooms located on the second floor, 52 electricity meters, 26 parking spaces.

▪The chosen solution proposes the connection of the charging stations to the customers' meters with charge controllers.
